There will be at least a 10days Induction cum orientation program for the new batch of students. All the faculty and staff members are involved in this program. The orientation will include various activities like discussions on academics and student life, various group sessions on topics like financial aid, etc. This will not be much related to academics studies but kind of interaction with freshers.
After orientation, your academics will be started.
So, don't worry about lagging in academics at the initial stage.
