If you are asking for my personal opinion then I would say go for adhar card as it's pretty quick easy and simple.  You just need to go to the nearest aadhar Kendra and fill up the correction form and hence your updation will be noted and completed in less than a week's time. I don't really know about how to correct it in your marksheet as before the final registration students are asked to check the spelling and then and there only the correction is made in your details.
