No with the rising competition, most of the Companies as well as Government have a relaxed age criteria. However, it must be your responsibility to ensure you do not have more than one gap between your 12th and Engineering Admission, for better career prospects and preferences.

There's no age limit for JEE .

For example,

to be eligible  for JEE mains 2021 for BE or Btech you just need to  be either appearing for 12th board exam or equivalent  in 2021 or should have passed it in 2020 or 2019 with Physics,  mathematics and anyone of Chemistry or Biology or Biotechnology or Technical Vocational Subject.

So, irrespective of your age if you fulfill this criteria then you are eligible for JEE mains 2021 as t here's no age limit.
