I understand that your friend has got a compartment in class 12th but has qualified JEE and thus is eligible for the JOSAA counselling and now to answer your question please be informed that your friend cannot appear for the counselling due to the compartment issue and thus needs to first clear the compartment examination and successfully complete the class XII to be able to be allotted a seat through the JOSAA counselling.
