A rank of 3204 in pwd gen category is a bit low rank. The NITs need higher ranks for getting a seat into. You have not mentioned any specific courses that you wish to get into. The competition keeps increasing with every year and this means that courses that are high in demand get filled fast with higher ranks such as computer science engineering and electrical and electronics engineering.

According to previous year last round cutoffs and trends the maximum rank under which Genereal Pwd student get the admission in NIT is around 2.6k but your rank is above this rank so it would be impossible for you to get admission into NIT.You can try your chance in IIIT or GFTIs for better chances or go for CSAB special counseling.
