IIT Colleges takes admission through JEE Advanced.

According to the eligibility criteria in order to take admission in NITs/IIITs and IITs you need to get 75% in boards exam or you should be in top 20 percentile.

You can get private college in other states like: Haryana, UP, West Bengal, Punjab, Rajasthan, Maharashtra. Most of the states have reservation for other state students in private colleges based on JEE Main score/rank. You need to apply separately for them.
