If you are not in a state where the top NITs are, like NITT, NITW, NITK, MNNIT, You might just fancy your chances of getting the lower branches of the NIT of your state. Else if your rank is somewhere around 60k, you MIGHT get NIFFT Ranchi, Gurukul Kangri, Sant Longowal, and other CFTIs through the JOSAA counselling. If you're lucky, you might even get biotechnology in colleges like BIT Mesra, NIT Raipur or NIT Rourkela.

The key is to fill out your choice filling very properly and carefully. You might land up with something good.
