550 is not a bad score. With this score you might have a chances to make it into some of the decent colleges. First of all make sure to apply for all the top most bschools. The predictions are just based on the previous years cut offs. Nothing can be determined until the actual cut offs are released. For the safe side on the other hand start looking for private colleges also.
