Hi aspirant,

KCCET uses a 50:50 weightage ratio to determine student rankings, with 50% of your rank based on your board exam marks and 50% based on your KCET score.

You can calculate your score yourself, but for a more precise rank, it is recommended to visit the Career 360 KCET rank predictor.

Here is the direct link to the rank predictor.

To estimate your KCET rank and your chances of getting a government biotechnology seat, we need to consider the 50:50 weightage of your board marks and expected KCET PCB marks.

First, let's calculate your board percentage in PCB: (242 / 300) * 100 = 80.67%

You are expecting 90 marks out of 180 in KCET PCB. Let's calculate this as a percentage: (90 / 180) * 100 = 50%

Now, we calculate your CET rank determining score by taking 50% of each percentage and adding them: CET score = (50% of Board Percentage) + (50% of KCET Percentage) CET score = (0.50 * 80.67) + (0.50 * 50) CET score = 40.335 + 25 CET score = 65.335

Based on previous year's KCET marks vs. rank analysis, a CET score around 65 might correspond to a rank in the range of 20,001 to 40,000 or even higher . Please remember this is an estimate, and the actual rank can vary.

Regarding your chances of getting a government biotechnology seat, it depends on the cutoff ranks for biotechnology in government colleges for your specific category. Biotechnology is generally a moderately competitive branch.

To get a government biotechnology seat, you would typically need a better rank than what your current estimated score suggests. Government colleges usually have lower cutoff ranks compared to private colleges.

I hope this helps .
