JEE is the joint entrance examination conducted by the NTA ( National Testing Agency ). JEE is written to get into NIT ( National Institute of Technology ).
As per the JEE MAIN 2018 cutoff:
cutoff marks for the General candidates is 81 candidates qualified are around 2Lakhs, for SC candidates the cutoff mark is 32 candidates qualified are around 34 thousand, for ST candidates the cutoff mark is 27 candidates qualified are arounf 17 thousand.
As you got 96.3% in the jee main you have chances to get into NIT's .
