My prep sc rank in jee adv 2018 is 2024.Can i get any iit in mechanical branch???

Go for NIT's.
As chances are very less that U'll get IIT's.
And if you get IIT, U have to Compromise with ur Branch Choices!

I think it is better to take nit than iit preparatory course because there is no assurance that you will get iit afterward.

Take any other good college like nits , iiits , state government colleges.
