As per previous year cutoff ranks, Mechanical Engineering closed by ranks around 20k. So accordingly, with a rank of 60,344 you have very low chances to get Mechanical Engineering in Mechanical Engineering in VIT University, Vellore or even Chennai. 

Otherwise if you really wish to learn Mechanical Engineering in VIT University you can try getting admissin through Management Quota.
