Firstly you should know this the admission in various colleges like IITs, NITs and state level government colleges are given on the basis of your All India Rank or Common rank list. There is no role of your category rank in your admission process. So to get admission in IIT your AIR or CRL should be under 1 lakh only than you can grt an IIT College.

Hi Supravat,
With your rank in SC category ,you should be assured of getting admissions to a branch in the NITs. Absolutely not the top-notch branches but in the core branches of some NITs for sure.
