Hi,

With a score of 440 in BC category, it becomes difficult to secure a seat in the government medical colleges when comparing the results of previous years. Last year, a minimum score of 558 was required to fetch one a seat in Rajah Muthaiah medical college, Annamalainagar in BC category under the state quota. For the general or unreserved category of students, the cut-off percentile is 50 which means that you need to score approximately 360 or above in order to get admission to MBBS in a government college. Also, one thing to keep in mind is that scores and ranks vary each year with difficulty level of the question paper and availability of seats. However you can go through the following link to know about the cut off's and ranks for the previous years and calculate your chances of selection.

Hope this helps

Wish you luck
