First of all congrats on scoring such a godd marks, but as of now we can't say much  just wait for the rank letter once you knw your rank everything would be clear

But for sure your son  gonna land in govt medical college, considering last year cutoff's.

Yes 586 is great score and a good government college is possible with that score. It is even more easy to get a seat in home state medical college. All the best to your son to get a good rank and good college. I also request you to have a look at top colleges all over india if your son is intrested to change the state.
