Its really tough to get seat with this rank while to get seat in VIT chennai with non core branches you son should have below 60k rank then he could have got

WITH THIS RANK IT IS VERY TOUGH TO GET A SEAT IN THE COLLEGE , THOUGH YOU CAN TRY FOR THE MANAGEMENT QUOTA IN THE COLLEGE .
