Yes, if your son studied from 8th to 12th class in Telangana, he will be considered a local student of Telangana and is eligible for reservation benefits provided to local students in the state; this is because completing a significant portion of his education within the state fulfills the criteria for local status.

hi ,

as per the Telangana state council of higher education a student is considered as local candidate if he meets the following rules -

  • they have studied at least 4 years in Telangana before their qualifying exams
  • if they have resided in Telangana for at least 4 years .

as you child meets this rules - your son , will be considered as local student in Telangana .

reservations and quota -

  • 85% local quota in local universities and colleges
  • fees reimbursement  and scholarships
  • local reservation in government jobs .

hope this helps

Since your son has studied in Telangana from 8th to 12th grade (5 years), he qualifies as a local candidate. This is because students who have studied for at least 4 consecutive years in Telangana before their qualifying exam are considered local.

Being a local candidate is beneficial, as 85% of seats in Telangana educational institutions are reserved for local students. This increases his chances of getting admission under the state quota.

Yes, if your son studied in Telangana from 8th to 12th grade, he would be considered a "local student" of Telangana and would be eligible for reservation benefits provided to local students in the state for admissions to educational institutions and government jobs.

According to Telangana regulations, studying for a significant duration within the state, like completing your secondary education (8th to 12th grade) in Telangana, qualifies you as a local student.

Reservation benefits:

Local students are usually eligible for reserved seats in various educational institutions and government jobs within Telangana, which means they have a higher chance of getting admission or employment compared to non-local students.

Important Note:

Specific rules may vary: While studying in Telangana for 5 years generally qualifies someone as a local student, always check the specific rules and regulations applicable to the particular institution or government job you are applying for as there might be minor variations in eligibility criteria.

GOOD LUCK,!!!
