To qualify for a Karnataka or Andhra Prasesh domicile, your son should have been a permanent resident in the state for atleast six years from a given year. But because your son is minor, in his case, atleast one of his parents should have resided in Karnatka or Andhra Pradesh for the past 6 years. So in this case, your son can claim Karnata domicilr and he will be eligible for Karnataka 85% State Quota and he can apply for Medical Colleges in AP under 15% All India Quota.

It does not matter where you complete your schooling matters is which state you originally are and if have your state certificate that state domicile is considered. 

State certificate living is your domicile considered.
