Dear p.goyal,

First of all you should mention your son's category.
Now if he has given jee mains 2020 with general category, then it will be little difficult for your son to get a seat in top nits.

But still your son has done very well and he will surely get some good nits (not top) with a good branch. But if your son wants cs branch then it will be little difficult for him to get a seat in good nits.

Here are some nit colleges in which you son might get cs branch but still the chances are very difficult and negligible :-

NIT SIKKIM  :  the cutoff rank last year for general category other state students in cs branch was 23800

NIT MANIPUR - the cutoff rank last year for general category other state students in cs branch was 26160.

NIT MIZORAM - the cutoff rank last year for general category other state students in cs branch was 26401.

But he can also choose for some other branches apart from cs which are also very top branches, like : electronics ans communication engineering, chemical engineering, etc.

Also note that if your son belong to sc / st / ews / obc category then the chances lf getting cs Branch is very much alive. And he can get cs in some of the good nits.
