If you are genuinely from that ST category and you don't have any discrepancy in your family, there is no reason for you to renew your ST certificate. As such, it is valid for lifetime once you issue it. But if there is any discrepancy in your family which needs you to prove that your family's ancestors are of the category, you may have to know about it.
