As per of my knowledge, you can only make up to your afmc interview if your parents has served Armed forces. Otherwise only your scores, ToELR and your interview can help you in your betterment.

Army background in AFMC counts only if your parents were/are in the Armed forces. To some extent, even your grandparents but that's it. Only your NEET score, ToELR and Interview count.
