Please combine the CGPA semester wise and convert to year wise  and in total enter the total CGPA. The system automatically calculates. NTPC says they wish to know the avaerage and it is to guage whether the candidate meets the cgpa criteria. Finally if you qualify in GATE and are called in the interview, your marks sheet will be tallied.
