AS there are no category or branch wise cut off in VIT. Seats are given through VITEE counselling process. And it totally depends on the availability of seats and as per your choice filling. If there will be no seats at your rank then will not get the core branch. But usually at rank below 30,000 you can get admission in Vellore Institute Chennai in category 4 to 5. So as per your rank you can get admission may be in category 3. Wishing you all the luck.
