1. For Class 1, child must be 6 years old by 1st April of that year

2. This rule is from Indian education law and all schools follow it

3. Your son is 13 years old so he is too big for Class 1

4. Schools will not give Class 1 seat to a 13-year-old students

5. You can talk to school and check if he can join higher class

6. They may ask for test to put him in right class for his age
