If you belong to a general category and you are applying under 85% state quota seats then you should score above 500 marks and if you are applying under 15% all India quota seats then you should score above 550 marks to secure a seat in government medical college.i hope this information helps you.

There's not a particular cutoff for admission though jee mains in the top NITs ,the cutoffs changes every year as it depends upon various factors including number of applicants registered for exam, number of students actually appeared for exam,last year cut off trends ,your performance in the exam etc. But you need to have a rank below 20k if you want th3 core branches in top nits and below 30k, for iiits and for that being a general category student you need to aim for a score above 250.
