Hello aspirant to gain admission to MBBS or BDS programs in India, simply meeting the NEET qualifying marks is not enough  you'll also need to meet the higher admission cut off marks specific to each state, quota, and category.

These are the minimum scores set by NTA to qualify NEET and participate in counselling, not to secure admission

If your NEET score falls within or above your category’s range, you’re eligible to register for both All India Quota (AIQ) and State Quota counselling

Qualifying marks allow counselling, but admission to medical colleges requires much higher scores:

General category candidates need 500 to 650 plus  marks, with top government institutions demanding 620 to 680  plus marks for AIQ seats and 570–620 plus marks for state quota .

Reserved category cut offs are relatively lower for example, OBC/SC/ST admissions may close around 420 to550 plus depending on state and seat quota .
