In NEET UG 2025, the cutoff to get admission in government medical colleges was different for each category and state. If you are from the general category, you need at least around 620 marks or more to get a seat under the All India Quota. For OBC category, the safe score is around 590 to 610. For SC and ST, it can be between 430 to 495, especially under state quota.

In some states like Karnataka, the cutoff for general category was above 530 marks. SC and ST students with around 450 marks also got seats in government colleges under the state quota.

So, to get into a government medical college, aim for higher marks. If your marks are between 430 and 620, your chances depend on your category and the state you belong to.
