Technology e of Master in computer application common entrance test is taken in every year once in a year. Nimcet is of total 480 marks. For this year 2022 to the notification for application published in the month of February 2022 and the exam will be held in the in the month of March 2022. Exam is taken throughout India enable more than 25000 students are taken part in this exam for taking admission in MCA course in 31  NITs in all over India. There are 851 number of seats in total for MCA course. MCA course is of 2 or 3 years, 3 years is for NITs nimcet exam is of 2 hours and 30,minutes duration . There are 120 number of multiple choice questions. 4 marks for each correct answer a wrong answer will carry negative marking . Eligibility for appearing of this examination is BSC mathematics, B tech or BE in computer engineering.

Master of Computer Application (MCA) is not offered in any Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). The admission to MCA in NITs is based on NIMCET, there is no other examination or provision to get admission to MCA in NITs. So it is mandatory to apply for NIMCET and appear for the examination. The eligibility criteria is that you must have passed passed three year B.Sc. / B.Sc. (Hons) / BCA / BIT with Mathematics/ Statistics as one of the subjects from a recognized University/Board. Candidates from open universities are also eligible. Or must have passed four year B.E./ B.Tech from a recognized University/Board. You must be a citizen of India. If you belong to general category/OBC category you must score minimum 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale. If you belong to SC/ST category you must have scored minimum 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10-point scale. If you are applying for NIMCET 2022 you must obtain the passing certificate on or before September 2022. NIMCET score is accepted by 27 institutes including NITs offering MCA course.
