Yes, NIOS board is acceptable for any university or any entrance . There is nothing that these people can't apply for as NIOS is a government body and it is centrally recognized  .

So, You need not to worry and start working for the thing you are preparing to go for i.e. DNS.

NIOS Board is a Government body and is centrally recognised, so you will be eligible to appear for DNS.

In some cases, those candidates who have changed their boards from CBSE to NIOS are not eligible.
