NIT Cut Off:The National Institutes of Technology, or the NITs, are among the top engineering institutes in India. They are declared to be institutes of national importance by an Act of Parliament. There are, altogether, 31 NITs across the country. In order to get into any of these top engineering colleges, you need to clear the JEE Main entrance examination and attain the NIT Cut Off. JEE Main is considered to be one of the toughest entrance exams for engineering courses in India.
