NMMS exam has two papers called Mental Ability Test MAT and Scholastic Aptitude Test SAT
Both papers are multiple choice questions with four options each
Each paper has ninety questions and each question carries one mark
No negative marking is applied for wrong answers
Mental Ability Test MAT is of ninety marks and ninety questions to be done in ninety minutes
MAT questions are usually on reasoning and thinking skills like analogy classification series patterns and hidden figures
Scholastic Aptitude Test SAT is also ninety marks and ninety questions with ninety minutes time
SAT questions are based on class seven and eight level subjects like mathematics science and social studies including history and geography
Total duration for both papers together is around three hours when taken one after the other
There is no fixed official syllabus given by the board but questions follow class seven and eight syllabus level
NMMS question paper is not like SAT test pattern or state board pattern but is a standard objective scholarship paper with reasoning and school subject questions
