Students who fulfill the following requirements are typically eligible to take the Karnataka NMMS test in 2024–25: they must have completed Class 7 with at least 55% of the possible points (or 50% for SC/ST students).  Furthermore, their family's yearly income shouldn't be more than Rs. 3,50,000.  Students must attend a government-run, government-aided, or local body school like regular students.  Eligibility is denied to students who attended residential schools such as NVS, KVS, and others.
