Hello Mantraratnam,

First of all you have to clear B.Tech. with good marks for that you should focus on your course because GATE syllabus is about equivalent to B.Tech syllabus. So, if you graduated with good marks in B.Tech then your more than half preparation is done. Also you can start giving mock tests and try to solve previous years papers from third year onwards. You should also refer the made easy pubication books series.
