The admissions for gfti is taken through jee mains score. According to the statistics, gftis Don't have much competition comparatively with nits or iiits
There is a chance to get into gftis even if your score is not that much good.

Some gftid are good and with good facilities, few are not up to the level.

You can prefer gftis if you get low score in the entrance.
