You need to definitely prepare for Jee Mains and Advanced, because the big advantage is your Preparation for MHCET becomes cakewalk and also you can apply for BITSAT.

Majority of IITs, NITs, IIiTs accept JEE majn and advanced scores.

With MhCET you have very few reeuted colleges like VJTI , Thadomal Shahani, Kj Somaiaya to opt for.

There are ample of books available in the market, However some top Books for indepth Preparation are shared below.

Physics:-

Concepts of Physics Vol I and II by H.C. Verma

.New Pattern JEE Problems: Physics by DC Pandey.

Chmeistry:-

Organic Chemistry by O.P. Tandon

Numerical Chemistry by P.Bahadur

Mathematics:-

Maths XI & XII by R.D. Sharma

All the above books have been recommended by various toppers.

Some top critical things toook out for are shared below:--

1. Solve numerical problems as many as possible

At least try to solve 60 problems from day 1 including PCM.

2. Always note down your mistakes

Keep track of your efforts so you never make the same mistake twice.

3. Make a target for every day

Its good to have a target so you know what youre working towards. Always aim to achieve that.

4. Develop a subject-wise strategy

Spend more time with difficult subject as there is more scope for improvement.

5. Fight until exam ends

Give your best till the end. Do not give in to slack as that will be easily become a habit.

6. Target the difficult parts of the syllabus

Focus first on the difficult topics along with concise, crisp, easy-to-look up notes.

7.Analyze previous year paper pattern

Strategise your study plan accordingly based on the previous years patterns.

It totally depends on which college you are targeting.

If you are aiming to get top NITs/IITs/IIITs you should focus on JEE Main and if you want top college in your state you should focus on MHT CET.

You should always keep a maximum option with you. so, that you can take admission in top colleges with good placements.

You can prepare for both the exams simultaneously . Make your proper time- table include important topics. Practice as much as you can. Solve MCQs and complete mock test series to analyze your preparation at regular interval of time.

All the best!!

If scoring in JEE mains is a problem for u then also I will suggest you to focus on jee as the level of preparation we do for jee is enough to score really good in state level engg exams so no need to prepare separately for mhcet just go through past year papers and brush through the level of Q's asked and also enroll for BITSAT

A bird in hand is worth two in bush - they say. My advice is focus on MHT CET more but don't neglect JEE Main. See COEP, VJIT are good and so is MIT. If you worry so much about the marks you expect to get, you will never be able to give it your all. SO decide that you will try for COEP since you seem more inclined towards it. Study common topics for MHT CET and JEE Main well. practice sample papers and Dont give up. All this thought of not getting is hypothetical and negative too. So don't go in that direction. Try your best for MHT CET. You stand a good chance in your home state. For NIT Nagpur, you have the home state advantage. So work and get that advantage. All the best and keep writing to us whenever in doubt.
