22.4 litre is required for 1 mol

Hence 1 litre can make 1÷22.4 mol

Now number of moles = 1÷22.4

Number of moles=

molecular mass÷molar mass

ie, n= m÷ M

Hence M= m÷n

= 1.25÷(1÷22.4)

= 28 g
