As per your query is concerned, let me clear out that Yes, open intermediate certificate/open schooling for senior secondary called inter is completely valid for any job purposes including state and government jobs. This certificate is equivalent to that of CBSE, ICE, ICSE & some STATE boards.

According to a notification issued by NIOS( National institute of open schooling) as per the 18 open schooling institutes enlisted in NIOS  that students qualifying secondary or senior secondary examination from here would be treated at par with similar certificates issued by NIOS to it's learners.
