Hello Aspirant.

Hope you are doing well.

First of all I would like to tell that the Optometry is the study of the eye, its related structures and the ways to diagnose and treat them. Optometrist makes a big difference in the lives of people as their skill and knowledge help in managing and diagnosing a range of eye disorders. An Optometrist works with the general public and carries out eye examinations, treats specific eye conditions in the clinic or hospital and also carries out essential research in a university. People with the right education and skills have job scope all over the world and there is also tremendous scope for them to start their own business in eye care.

  • FEE STRUCTURE FOR THE OPTOMETRY COURSE IS;

Bachelor’s degree course in optometry at the Indian private universities, the student may have to pay a fee of about 2.5 to 4 Lakh per year. The fee for the diploma course is between 2 and 2.5 lakh per annum. For a Master’s degree, the college fee is 4 Lakh to 6 lakhs per year. The fee is substantially low in government colleges and the fee is in a few thousand. Apart from the course fee, the students studying in private colleges will be taken for internship programs during the course of their study and may have to pay a small fee for the hospital in which they take up the training.

  • DURATION OF OPTOMETRY COURSE:

The Duration of this course is generally ranges between the 1-4 years in different institutions. The duration may be different in different institutions according to their rules and regulations.

Hello

Duration

The course lasts three years (four years at certain institutions if one year of internship is included), and it is a vital and career-oriented programme that offers applicants a wide range of opportunities.

Fee Structure

A student may have to pay a price of around Rs. 2.5 to Rs. 4 lakh each year for a Bachelor's degree study in optometry at an Indian private university. The annual price for the diploma programme is between Rs. 2 and 2.5 lakh. The college price for a Master's degree ranges from Rs 4 lakh to Rs 6 lakh every year. The fee in government universities is quite inexpensive, and it is only a few thousand dollars. Apart from the course price, students attending private institutions will be required to participate in internship programmes throughout their studies and may be required to pay a nominal fee to the hospital where they will be trained.

Hope this helps
