1.The angular node= l(azhimuthal quantum number).

2.Total nodes=n-1(principle quantum number).

Given:  3 angular nodes,then l=3. ;  3 Total nodes, then n-1=3.

l=3 means it is f- orbital and

n-1=3 solving this we get n=4. So 4th shell.

Finally the answer is 4f.

The number of angular nodes is given by 'l'(azimuthal quantum number) and total nodes is given by n-1. so if there are 3 angular nodes then the value of l is 3. And total nodes is n-1 which is equal to 3.

which implies n=4. l=3 represents the orbital d orbital and n=4 shows that its in 4th shell.

therefore the required orbital is 4d.

It is wrong because l=3 means f-orbitol , not d-orbitol. Calculation and formula are corret👍👍
