Admission to medical programs such as MBBS, BDS, and several allied health degrees is the main reason NEET is necessary.  However, most colleges do not demand NEET in order to enroll in a pharmacy program.

However, not all pharmacy colleges require NEET. Some are based on state-level entrance exams (like MHT-CET, KCET, AP EAMCET, etc.) or based on students' 12th board examination marks. Each college has its own admission criteria, so verify with each.

Colleges Accepting NEET for Pharmacy (Directly or via State Counseling):

1. Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Mumbai – One of the top institutes for pharmaceutical sciences.

2. Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Manipal – Accepts NEET or MET (Manipal Entrance Test).

3. BHU – Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi – Offers B.Pharm via NEET-UG score + counseling.

4. BITS Pilani – Department of Pharmacy – Generally admits through BITSAT, but NEET scores are considered for pharmacy-related research courses.

5. Jamia Hamdard University, New Delhi – Accepts NEET for B.Pharm and other health science programs.

6. Panjab University, Chandigarh – Offers pharmacy programs with NEET scores considered in some admission rounds.

7. Government College of Pharmacy, Bangalore (via KCET) – Karnataka may consider NEET score for state quota candidates.

8. National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) – Offers PG-level programs, but good to know for future education paths.
