It is necessary to carry 2 passport-size photos along with 1 postcard because you need to attach photos to admit card. And it is mentioned on the form that you need to affix your photograph here.

You need 2 passport size photographs. But also take a post card size photograph. The admit card is a 3 page pdf. Page 1 will have Exam centre details and self declaration form. Page 2 will  have Important exam Instructions to the Candidates. Page 3 will have Advisory for Candidates. On Page 1 below the self declaration form to the bottom left, there is space for Photograph to be pasted. It says " Candidate's Photo" According to the application form. This is where you need to paste the photograph. Another photo should be carried to the examination hall to be pasted on the Attendance sheet.
