If you fail in one subject out of 6 subjects, you won't be considered fail in the board exams. But you won't be considered completely pass either and won't be eligible to proceed for further admissions. To completely pass the class, you have to reappear for the exam of the subject you failed in. Boards conduct re- examination for the candidates who fail in one or two subjects, such students are called compartment students. So, after clearing your compartment exam you will be considered PASS and qualified in your exams.
