Hi,

I generally feel that CSE people tend to enjoy college life more and have a lot of free time. But coding is not a joke! It does need a lot of mind and effort to be put in. CSE can be a nightmare if you don’t like/not really good at coding. I’ve seen my friends from ECE getting placed in awesome core companies. So did I have friends who chose CSE because their cut off could’nt get them ECE, now placed in companies with higher packages than me.

So at the end of the day, it is how you take your course and what you want to do. Both have their own sides of positives and negatives. So its up to you to decide the path of your life. But decide and select one because you want to do it and not because others suggest you to do (During hard times, atleast you will have the satisfaction that you wanted this and you won’t get angry on anyone else for making you do this)

P.S : This is completely my perspective and this may vary from person to person.
