Dear Student ,

You need to change your college preferences based on your rank and last year cut off data bases in different IITs, NITs or IIITs. You should give 1st preferences to those colleges in which you have less chances to get admission or at the last or pre-last round you may get that college .And try to give the NITs, IITs at the last choices that you may easily get through your rank as per their cut off preferences .Because , after 1st round .. most of the preferred colleges in the list may freeze up to final round as the required cut off is cleared by the candidate easily at the 1st round .

Well, you may give top 4 premium IITs (Delhi, Bombay , Madras , Kharagpur) at the top and then can give NIT Trichy, Durgapur , Rourkela etc.  with your preferred branches respectively .

Hope this helps!

Best wishes !!
