BSc Nautical Science is three year duration undergraduate program related to maritime studies.

Eligibility Criteria-

• Candidate should have passed 10+2 from a recognized board with PCM and having 60% aggregate, final year ones are also eligible to apply.
• In addition to above academic criteria, medical fitness too is important.Candidate needs to have a 6/6 eyesight.

B.Sc. in Nautical Science is a 3 year long  undergraduate course approved by the Directorate General of Shipping, which falls under the Ministry of Shipping, Government of India.
The course is a study of the basic academic and practical devices required to safely navigate and operate marine vehicles, such as a ship. The subjects of study that form part of the course’s curriculum are navigation and seamanship, which is the basic science of application of shipboard equipment and tools.The program aims to train eligible candidates in becoming Deck Officers and imparts lessons in Nautical Technology and its application, which are vital for a Deck Officer on board. B.Sc. in Nautical Science covers all important topics related to maritime studies. Along with theoretical studies, as I mentioned above, importance is given to practical aspects too. In the end, after the completion of the course, cadets may go on and become Navigation Officer on Merchant navy ships. But before one may take on the post of Navigating Officer in Merchant Navy ships, one has to go through the mandatory 12 months long sea service.
