As LLM Is a Master degree hence you need more time carry Research work and i don't think 1 year or to be more precise 9 to 10 monts is pretty less for your Growth.
Yes, it is equivalent to 2 year course.
But i would suggest you to go for 2 year course as there are certain PSU's accepting only 2 year degree.
