The CBSE Class 12 syllabus for 2026 is based on the 2025-26 academic session. Students can choose subjects according to their stream:

Science Stream – Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, Computer Science/IT, and English.
Commerce Stream – Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics, Mathematics (optional), and English.
Arts/Humanities – Subjects like History, Political Science, Geography, Sociology, Psychology, Economics, Fine Arts, and English.

CBSE has also introduced new skill-based electives such as Land Transportation Associate, Electronics & Hardware, Physical Activity Trainer, and Design Thinking & Innovation.
