Below are the topics which should be prepared really well-

Engineering Mathematics, Structural Engineering - Mechanics , concrete technology, structural analysis, concrete structures, steel structures, Geotechnical Engineering - Soil mechanics, foundation engineering, Water Resources - FM , HHM, WRE, Environmental Engineering - Water and waste water engineering, Air and noise pollution, Transportation Engineering, Surveying etc.

These are some important subjects for good scoring:
1.strength of materials
2.structural analysis
3.soil mechanics
4.foundation engineering
5.Fluid mechanics
6. Hydraulic- Open channel flow
7. Environmental engineering-Water supply, waste water,air and noise pollution
8.Transportation engineering- geometric design of highway and railway, traffic engineering, pavement design concept ( IRC 37 & IRC 58)
