Its nice of you that you are preparing for SCRA 2018 . Its considered as a golden opportunity after 12 as a carrier. But unfortunately the conduction of the Exam has  been stopped by the INDIAN RAILWAYS. But there are still many Exams that can  get you a carrier in RAILWAYS. You can prepare for them . All the Best!
