Hello aspirant,

Institutions that have gained national importance with their world class education and academic curriculum falls under this category.

Private Universities have to follow norms and regulations. They need to provide relevant information related to curriculum structure, content, teaching and learning process, evaluation system, etc. to the UGC prior to starting of the program.

· Their fees are on the higher side as compared to state and central universities.

· They can establish an off-campus centre(s) within the concerned State after their existence of five years and with the prior approval of the University Grants Commission,” as stated by UGC website.

Hope this helps you make the right decision while selecting college/ University for yourself.

Hope this helps you
